Established by Ian and his wife Juliana in 2016, Smoke & Donuts began as a pop-up restaurant. Juliana said “donuts!” Ian said barbecue!” and Smoke & Donuts was born. The pop-up evolved into a food truck with a full BBQ catering kitchen and smokehouse. In February of 2023, Smoke & Donuts BBQ opened its brick-and-mortar location in The Milk District.

You can really tell the owner of this place cares about the food they serve and the service they provide as well. I was absolutely blown away at the quality of the food as well as the service. All were incredible. I brought donuts home to my family and they were gone by the end of the evening. Everyone said they were the best they have ever had and I agree. They were so moist and rich. A lot of detail went into making them and they were made to order so they were HOT!
Stumbled upon this little gem while trying to find lunch before College Football Saturday. Food was delicious. We were not expecting alcohol to be served, but of course I had to take advantage if the mimosa. Ordered the Pork belly platter with brussels sprouts and pork rinds, and received our free glazed donut after our meal. We will definitely come back to try other items from the menu. I wanted to order everything!
We came here for lunch on a Saturday & loved it! They offer a free hot glazed donut with every bbq order right now, which we didn't realize until they walked out with them after we sat down. The best donut I've ever had, and I don't usually like glazed donuts. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with a side of Brussels sprouts, and my husband ordered slice brisket with a side of Mac & cheese and baked beans. They have sauces on the side that you can add if you like as well. Everything was very tasty and we will definitely be back!
Wow what an amazing restaurant this is. Not only is the food to die for (including their scrumptious donuts) the owner was so welcoming and friendly! It was so cool to get to chat with him and see that he really is passionate about his and his wife's restaurant. I got the chicken tender biscuits and gravy and while it's not your traditional b&g, it was so tasty. And then we split 4 donuts that we all really enjoyed, my favorite was the peanut butter 'dirt'. My friends are I will absolutely be back in to try even more of their food!
Amazing service, everyone was very nice and the food was incredible. I had the bar-b-cuban sandwich and my boyfriend had the brisket egg and cheese, both were very good and the portion sizes were perfect. I really liked their pickles. The donuts are fresh and the texture is a bit cake-y which was perfect to me. Overall a great experience and I would love to come back again
